How VanManoo manages its tax affairs in the United Kingdom and the United States, in line with the highest standards of transparency and compliance.

United Kingdom

VanManoo operates in accordance with UK tax law, including obligations under Schedule 19 of the Finance Act 2016. We are committed to paying the right amount of tax at the right time and to full transparency with HMRC.

  • Corporation Tax paid on UK-generated profits.
  • VAT collected and remitted on applicable platform fees.
  • PAYE / NIC operated for all UK employees.
  • Self-employed drivers responsible for their own Income Tax & NIC — see our driver tax guide.
  • Zero tolerance for aggressive tax planning or artificial structures.

United States

Our US engineering entity files federal and state returns in the states where we operate, in full compliance with IRS and applicable state tax authorities.

  • Federal Corporation Tax filings via Form 1120.
  • State income & franchise tax paid where nexus exists.
  • US contractors receive 1099-NEC or 1099-K as required.
  • Sales tax collected in states where economic nexus is triggered.
  • Compliant with FATCA and BEPS transparency requirements.

A note for our drivers

Drivers on VanManoo are self-employed and responsible for their own tax affairs. This typically includes registering for Self Assessment with HMRC (or the equivalent in the US), filing an annual return, and paying Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions on trading profits.

We publish a detailed driver tax guide in our Driver Hub and provide annual earnings summaries in the driver dashboard to make filing easy.
