VanManoo — Privacy Policy (US)

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how VanManoo ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you use the Platform in the United States. It supplements our Cookie Policy.

2. Personal Information We Collect

• Identifiers: name, email, phone number, physical address, IP address, device identifiers.
• Payment information: card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe; VanManoo receives only a tokenized reference, last-4, and cardholder name.
• Location data: pickup and delivery addresses, and (with your permission) precise device location for Mover matching.
• Booking & usage data: quote details, chat messages with Movers, reviews, service history.
• Internet activity: pages viewed, referring URL, cookies, session recordings.
• Sensitive personal information (SPI): precise geolocation only.
• Inferences: preferences from your bookings (e.g., van size, weekend usage).

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. §6501).

3. How We Use Personal Information

• Facilitate quotes, bookings, deposits, refunds and driver payouts.
• Communicate with you about your bookings (transactional emails/SMS — not marketing).
• Improve our services; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations (tax, subpoenas, DMCA, etc.).
• Deliver marketing (only with your opt-in consent, subject to CAN-SPAM and TCPA).

4. How We Share Personal Information

We share personal information with:

• Movers you book — pickup / delivery address, first name, phone number, notes.
• Service providers: Stripe (payments), Mapbox (geocoding), Resend (email), AWS/GCP (hosting), Twilio (SMS if enabled).
• Legal authorities when required by valid legal process.
• Successors in a merger or acquisition.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless you opt in.

5. Your Rights — California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA)

Subject to applicable state law, you have the right to: (a) know what we collect and disclose; (b) access a copy of your data; (c) delete your data; (d) correct inaccurate data; (e) opt out of sale / sharing / targeted advertising; (f) limit use of sensitive personal information; (g) portability; (h) non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

Submit a request at hello@vanmanoo.uk or via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information form. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days. You may authorize an agent in writing.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with tax and regulatory obligations (typically 7 years for financial records), enforce our Terms, and resolve disputes. You may request earlier deletion.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest, principle of least privilege, MFA for admins). No system is 100% secure. Notify us at hello@vanmanoo.uk of any suspected breach. We will notify affected users of a breach in accordance with applicable state breach-notification laws.

8. Do Not Track

Our Platform does not respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals but does honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing where applicable state law recognizes them.

9. International Transfers

VanManoo is UK-headquartered. Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, and elsewhere. Where legally required, we implement Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days in advance.
