How VanManoo pricing works
The price is calculated based on estimated time, travel mileage, and the number of flights of stairs — not the number of items you're moving. You'll see a clear breakdown for every mover before you book.
Pay a $79.99 deposit online to secure your booking. The remaining balance is paid directly to the mover on moving day.
Parking, tolls, or any extra flights of stairs on the day are payable directly to the mover. Assembly/disassembly are not included in the quote and may be charged separately by the mover.

Important Notice
VanManoo operates the marketplace and handles the booking and payment process. This creates two separate relationships:
- A platform contract between the customer and VanManoo for use of the booking platform, including payments, deposits, and acceptance of the US Terms of Service.
- A transportation service contract between the customer and the independent mover (driver/motor carrier) for the actual move. VanManoo is not a party to that service contract.
All transportation services are provided by independent contractors, who are solely responsible for the services they provide. Customers are likewise responsible for their own actions, instructions, belongings, and conduct.
VanManoo is not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, negligence, disputes, cancellations, delays, damage, loss, injury, or any other claims arising from the actions or conduct of either the customer or the independent mover. Where appropriate, VanManoo may assist in resolving disputes as a customer-service function — this does not constitute an acceptance of liability.
Cancellation Policy
- ✓Within 60 minutes of booking → full refund (unless the mover has already started travelling for an urgent booking).
- ✓More than 60 minutes after booking but more than 24 hours before the move → full refund.
- ✗Less than 24 hours before the move → deposit non-refundable.
- ✗Mover has started travelling or arrived → deposit non-refundable.
- ✗Customer no-show → no refund.
How VanManoo pricing works
Understand quotes, deposits, extra time & what's paid on the day.
Enter your pickup and delivery locations, choose your preferred date and time, and provide your move details. Our system calculates your requirements and shows you available nearby movers with different pricing options.
The price is calculated based on factors such as the estimated time required, travel mileage, and the number of flights of stairs — rather than the number of items you are moving.
You can compare mover profiles, reviews, availability, and prices, then choose the mover that best suits your needs. Once you confirm your booking, you will pay the required deposit ($79.99) to secure your booking through our platform.
The remaining balance is paid directly to the mover on the moving day. If your move takes longer than the agreed time, any additional time charges are paid directly to the mover based on their pricing. Any additional mileage, flights of stairs, or other applicable charges will be clearly shown in your booking price breakdown and invoice.
Insurance & Liability
All movers using VanManoo are required to maintain valid Cargo Insurance (also known as Goods-in-Transit / Motor Truck Cargo cover). You are encouraged to check the mover's insurance details before the move and may choose to purchase additional moving or contents insurance from a third-party provider for extra protection.
Items, Locations & Services We Do Not Provide
VanManoo does not transport prohibited, hazardous, high-value, specialist, or restricted items — including pianos, pool / billiard tables, safes, heavy commercial equipment, HAZMAT / dangerous goods, cash and valuables, firearms, pets, live animals, passengers, perishable food, pharmaceuticals, medical waste, or hazardous waste.
We also do not provide services requiring specialist care, personal assistance, supervision, safeguarding, security clearance, licences, specialist equipment, or additional insurance — including schools, daycares, colleges, universities, high-security premises, heritage sites, medical facilities, industrial locations, and large commercial relocations. Interstate long-haul moves may require an ICC / FMCSA-authorised motor carrier and fall outside our platform.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking that falls outside our services.
Can there be additional charges after I book?
Yes — your quoted price is based on the information you provide. If your booking changes or additional work is required, additional charges may apply, including:
- Additional items
- Extra collection or delivery locations
- Extra stops
- Waiting time
- Additional stairs not declared
- Additional helper
- Assembly / disassembly after booking
- Long carry distances not declared
- Parking charges or permits
- Tolls, congestion pricing, HOV / express-lane fees
- Bridge, tunnel or ferry charges
- Reasonable unforeseen costs
Where applicable, additional charges are payable directly to the mover, in addition to the quoted booking price.
